We are in Romans 7:8-11, where Paul exposes one of sin’s most effective and most overlooked strategies. Sin does not need to invent new temptations. It simply seizes the commandment itself, the very law God gave for your good, and uses it as a base of operations.
The moment a rule says “don’t,” something in us wants to. And the more rules we pile on hoping to gain victory, the more ammunition we hand to the very thing we are fighting. Today’s lesson shows you why, and more importantly, it shows you what actually works.
